The Department of Immigration is reminding travellers that a valid passport is required for entry into the Territory. The department’s previously issued Bulletin of 21 April 2023, is updated effective 1 March, 2025 until further notice, ONLY BVIslanders and Belongers may seek permission to enter without a valid passport.

BVIslanders and Belongers must email immigrationinfo@gov.vg at least 48 hours prior to arrival, providing the following details:

1.         Expected date of arrival

2.         Port of entry

3.         Copies of an expired passport, birth certificate, or Virgin Islands Belonger Card.

Non-BVIslanders and non-Belongers must have a valid passport book or passport card (US only) for the duration of their stay.

Travellers are reminded to ensure all travel documents are valid to avoid any inconvenience.
