The motoring public is advised that major works along the Ridge Road in the vicinity of lower Hope Hill will be taking place this weekend.  To facilitate excavation works and to protect motorist the road will be closed for through traffic on Saturday 21^st November from 8:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. and again on Sunday 22^nd November from 8:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.  Outside of those hours’ single lane traffic at certain intervals along the roadway will be maintained.     

Traffic will be diverted through Nottingham Estate Road into East End but motorists are encouraged to use the Blackburn Highway as an alternate route.

Motorists are asked to drive with extreme caution and to follow road signs and the directions given by traffic wardens in these areas.
