The Department of Waste Management is soliciting competitive sealed bids for the maintenance of DWM’, Derelict Site, processing and export of a maximum of 600 Derelict Vehicles and agreed Scrap Metal.

Scope of Works

The successful contractor(s) would be required to perform the following works at the derelict vehicles site. 

  1. Provide and operate equipment which can maintain the process and export up to 600 derelict vehicles and agreed scrap metal and other waste at the Pockwood Pond Derelict Site for period of nine months.
Instructions to Tenderers

Tenderers are required to furnish the following:

  1. Proof of possession of the listed equipment and trained personnel. The required equipment and personnel must be in the British Virgin Islands at the time of Tender.
  2. Details regarding experience in the type of works to be carried out.
  3. Work methodology and project plan that details the schedule of work activities that will be executed to ensure site is always maintained, vehicles processed and export and material not exported are appropriately disposed.
  4. Certificate of Good Standing in respect of Social Security, National Health Insurance and Income Tax including:
    1. Trade License (valid for 2025) (if Partnership or Sole Proprietorship)
    2. Certificate of Good Standing from the Commercial Registry.

Respondents are to submit their quotations, pictures of the equipment listed, and work methodology in seal envelopes due on February 12, 2024 at the office of the Department of Waste Management located on the second floor of the Union Property across from the Happy Lion Restaurant.

            Failure to comply with the Instructions to Tenderers will render the tender non-responsive on the date of opening of tenders.
