Statement by Honourable Kye Rymer
Minister for Transportation, Works and Utilities
Traffic Turnaround in Road Town

April 30th 2020

Good day Virgin Islanders the phased approach in making a Pedestrian Friendly Road Town has begun, as we are living now in the New Regular.

As Minister for Transportation Works and Utilities, I am pleased to announce that your Government is on the heels of delivering another promise made to you the people of these Beautiful Virgin Islands.

Road Town is the mecca of commerce as the Capital, and as we adapt to living in this New Regular, changes are inevitable.

On Friday, May 1, we will bring to you a live demonstration of the Traffic Flow turnaround envisioned for the City of Road town, our nation’s Capital.  As such the anticipated ease of traffic and flow is necessary.

Virgin Islanders this New Regular is our rebirth, it is also a historic moment in our nation’s Capital.  Your Government as we are known is unorthodox in our approach, but we continue to work to improve the ease of traversing and quality of living in these islands.

Join Us Live on Facebook in our Nation’s Capital as this Government brings to you another Historic Moment, as the gears turn in the rebooting and reawakening of the BVI in the face of the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic.

I say thank you.
