Eleven students from the Elmore Stoutt High School will showcase their talents, intellect and poise as they compete for the titles of Mr. and Miss Fifth Form on Saturday, April 18.

This year’s pageant is the final exercise with the title “Mr. and Miss Fifth Form” as the last cohort of fifth form students will be participating in the showcase.

The pageant will be held at the Multipurpose Sports Complex at 7:00 p.m. under the theme, ‘The Best is Yet to Come; Embrace Your Destiny’.

The pageant will feature the talents of three young men, Shamoy Davis, Akeem Stanley and Shaquille Bell; and eight young ladies, Kahlea Choucoutou, Chemoia Hodge, Mya Brown, Brittani Stoutt, Shaundi Niles, Kezia Pickering, Reeka Campbell and Celine Richards.

Pageant Coordinator, Mrs. Bisa Smith said that the show is a platform that assists participants in their personal development.

Mrs. Smith said, “It is our endeavour for the students to realise that participation in this showcase exposes them to more than just pageantry. It should assist in the development of their public speaking and presentation skills, self-confidence, and leadership abilities.”

Mrs. Smith stated that in the preparation process the contestants received training in time management, personal branding, nutrition and exercise, skincare and makeup techniques, and interview techniques.  She also extended appreciation to the sponsors of the show including the platinum sponsor, the Ministry of Education and Culture.

The participants will be judged based on their presentations in an Introduction Speech, Career Wear, Talent, Evening Wear and Interview segments.

Tickets are available at J&C Department Store, Hazem Beauty Supplies and the

Elmore Stoutt High School. Tickets will be on sale at the Multipurpose Sports Complex on designated dates and times. There is a general admission fee of $20.00 and VIP tickets are $30.00, while tickets for children under ten are $10.00.
