The public is reminded that the Ministry of Education and Culture’s annual Secondary School Debate will be held today, Monday, January 30 at the Eileene L. Parsons Auditorium, H. Lavity Stoutt Community College.

Students representing the Bregado Flax Educational Centre and St. George’s Secondary School will debate the topic, “Gay marriage harms the institution of traditional marriage” at 6:00 p.m.

Students from the BVI Seventh Day Adventist School and Virgin Islands School of Technical Studies will debate the topic, “Higher tax should be levied on ‘junk foods’ ” at 7:30 p.m.

All are encouraged to attend and support the students.
