The public is invited to attend the Ministry of Education and Culture’s annual Secondary School Debate Semi-Finals on Monday, February 20 at the Eileene L. Parsons Auditorium, H. Lavity Stoutt Community College.

Students representing the St. George’s Secondary School and the Virgin Islands School of Technical Studies will debate on the topic, “Media Censorship is Needed in the British Virgin Islands” at 6:00 p.m.

Claudia Creque Educational Centre and the Elmore Stoutt High School will debate the topic, “Government of the Virgin Islands should enact Consumer Protection Laws” at 7:30 p.m.

The winners from these debates will advance to the finals at the Eileene L. Parsons Auditorium, H. Lavity Stoutt Community College on Wednesday, March 15 at 6:00 p.m.

All are encouraged to attend and support the students.
