The public is notified that the Great Mountain Road will be closed on Saturday, 20 March from 9 a.m. until 4 :00 p.m. and again on Monday, 22nd March at 8:30 a.m. until Wednesday, 24 March at 4:00 p.m. 

The closures are to facilitate excavation works and a concrete pour for the upper culvert. 

During this time no vehicles or scooters will be allowed to traverse the area. 

Additionally, on Thursday, 25 March, the Great Mountain Road will be closed from 9:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. daily until further notice. 

One lane traffic will be permissible when open.  The Great Mountain Road remains an active construction site and motorists are urged to use the Joe’s Hill Road or the Johnson’s Ghut Road to access Road Town.

The Ministry of Transportation, Works and Utilities the RDA would like to thank the public for their patience and understanding as critical road rehabilitation works take place throughout the Territory.
