Minister for Communications and Works, Honourable Kye M. Rymer has said community engagement is important as the public is invited to participate in a survey on a Business Case for the expansion of the Terrance B. Lettsome International Airport.

Honourable Rymer said the Ministry in partnership with the BVI Airports Authority, is seeking to engage the public in the exercise as a vital stakeholder in the airport expansion process.

The minister said, "We have pledged to keep the public informed as they are a vital stakeholder in the process of the airport expansion. The values, opinions and feedback from the public are essential for a successful and collaborative project development plan."

Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Communications and Works, Mrs. Elvia Smith-Maduro, explained that the survey was created to gather valuable insights and perspectives from stakeholders, including the public, as the information provided through this survey will play a crucial role in shaping the strategic direction of the project.

The Ministry of Communications and Works is responsible for the development and maintenance of the Territory's infrastructure, including roads, ports, and airports. The Ministry works closely with various government agencies and authorities to ensure the efficient and effective delivery of public services.
