The public is invited to participate in celebrations to mark the 42nd anniversary of BVI-USVI Friendship Day on Saturday, October 24, at 9:45 a.m. at the Central Administration Complex. This year’s activities will be held under the theme, “The Greater Virgin Islands: The Identity and Ingenuity of Our People.”

The Friendship Day observance was designed to strengthen the traditional ties between the islands that were built upon the bond of friendship, as well as the shared history and culture of the people of both territories. This year’s festivities will highlight the creativity and resourcefulness of Virgin Islanders, both historically and from a modern day perspective. It will include cultural displays and demonstrations, along with musical renditions and sampling of local dishes.
