Premier and Minister of Finance, Dr. the Honourable D. Orlando Smith, OBE received a courtesy visit from  representatives of the Outdoor Trust, facilitated by the BVI Commonwealth Games Association/ BVI Olympic Committee.  The delegation discussed the prospect of the BVI becoming the first in the Caribbean to establish a Commonwealth Walkway as an enhancement to the city’s attraction.  The prospective Commonwealth Walkway in Road Town will follow a route situated near historical sites in the city for which a bronze marker with the Queen’s Cypher, EIIR, will be placed to indicate each historical site.  Additionally a free app will be established to interpret and guide persons along the route. The BVI Committee is working in collaboration with the Healthy Space and Places Committee, BVI Health and Wellness Council, and the Ministry Health and Social Development.
