RESPONSE BY PREMIER AND MINISTER OF FINANCE
DR. THE HONOURABLE D. ORLANDO SMITH, OBE TO AN ARTICLE ON BVI PLATINUM 
TITLED: Premier Must Come Clean On Finances! Governor Says UK Concerned

I was surprised to see an article in BVI Platinum calling for the Premier to come clean, following a discussion with the Governor on 25^th October, during which he stated that there were documents under discussion by cabinet that had not yet been released.

There is no mystery to these documents: In fact, I referenced the same documents at the last sitting of the House of Assembly when I said that I would be releasing regular quarterly financial statements. I also said at the time that "These reports will illustrate that our financial position is indeed quite strong". (Interestingly that statement was carried in the last paragraph of the article).

In fact the first of those reports will be laid in the House of Assembly at the next sitting of the House in the next few weeks.
