Premier and Minister of Finance Dr. Honourable D. Orlando Smith, OBE will present the mid-year review of his Government’s work in a radio and television simulcast on Monday July 10 at 8:00 p.m.

Director of Communications Mrs. Arliene T. Penn said, “Premier Smith will share with the public the initiatives of his Government at work since returning to office in 2015. He will report that his Government has remained dedicated to advancing the development of the Territory, and the ongoing commitment for staying on the path to prosperity strengthening all sectors of the Virgin Islands economy.”

The work of the Government continues to be carried out under specific areas of interest:  improving social services programmes; strengthening the educational sector; protecting borders, enhancing law, order, public safety; stimulating/fixing the economy; improving the standard of living; infrastructural development; and ensuring public sector reform.

Mrs. Penn is also reminding the public that the “Your Government at Work” pictorial e-magazine chronicling the work of the Government from June 2015 to December 2016 is available online. This document can be viewed at  www.bvi.gov.vg.
