The Public Is Advised To Be Cautious During The Partial Solar Eclipse That will occur today between 1:00 to 4:00 p.m.

A partial solar eclipse happens when the moon comes between the sun and the earth, partially covering the sun’s disk.  Persons are therefore asked not to look at the sun during the eclipse as doing so can permanently damage the eyes.

The Ministry of Health and Social Development is further advising persons who are desirous to look at the sun during this time, to use a special solar filter or a handheld solar viewer.
