Persons entering the British Virgin Islands for the sole purpose of work and/or to reside, are reminded of the options for submitting medical certificates. Medical certificates from their place of origin can be presented at the port of entry, to be certified by a local practitioner; or medical examinations can be completed locally by a medical practitioner of choice or by the Immigration Clinic.

Local and overseas practitioners can now obtain the medical forms online at the Government of the Virgin Islands’ official website at bvi.gov.vg by clicking on the relevant banner on the homepage or the forms can be found on the Immigration Department’s page under the services section.

The changes to the immigration medical requirements are part of efforts by the Department of Immigration and the Ministry of Health and Social Development to facilitate an easier process for persons relocating to the BVI.

For more information, persons should contact the Immigration Department at 468-3701 ext. 4700 or 4705 or the Ministry of Health at the ministryofhealth@gov.vg or telephone number 468-2174.
