Mrs Oleanvine Maynard is the new Managing Director of the British Virgin Islands Ports Authority (BVIPA), effective 18th March 2021.
Her appointment was approved by the Cabinet of the Virgin Islands for an initial two (2) year period, in accordance with the BVI Ports Authority Board’s Resolution No. 37 of 2021.

Ports Authority Board Chairman, Mr Kelvin Hodge said, "Mrs Maynard is a dedicated, and committed professional who brings a wealth of business management and organizational experience.," "She takes over at a pivotal time in the port's history, as we navigate out of a global health pandemic. She has demonstrated her commitment to service excellence during her time as Acting Managing Director. We are confident she will be up to the challenge of positioning the Ports for the future.”
Oleanvine Maynard joined the Ports Authority in August of 2019 after serving 33 years in the public service at various senior levels. She holds a certification in Ports Security Management and Ports Management CPE. Since starting at the Ports, she has served as Deputy Managing Director and spent the last seven (7) months as Acting Managing Director, playing a vital role in coordinating and developing the Port's transformation plan and reopening during the pandemic.
Mrs Maynard takes on her new role at the Ports during a period of significant challenges due to the global pandemic, resulting in tremendous revenue loss for the Ports. Her charge is to increase efficiencies through technological implementation and facility upgrades, while forging tighter partnerships with stakeholders, joining together to expand the Ports’ capabilities to meet anticipated growth and demands.
