The new Public Service Excellence Award, one of the Employee Recognition Programmes administered by the Department of Human Resources will be launched on Monday, February 9.

The Public Service Excellence Award is administered by the Employees Relations Unit in that department, and is designed to recognise high performers and improve employee morale in the Public Service.

This initiative is in keeping with the vision of the Department of Human Resources to be a leading organisation which recognises people as the most valuable asset to the service.

Topics to be discussed include the newly designed and developed selection criteria and award categories.  Attendees will also learn of the two-tier approach to recognize both management and support staff.

The programme will be launched in the Breezeway of the Central Administration Building and will begin at 9:00 a.m.

Remarks will be delivered by His Excellency the Governor Mr. John S. Duncan, OBE, Permanent Secretary in the Deputy Governor’s Office Mr. David Archer and Acting Director of Human Resources, Mrs. Michelle Donovan Stevens.  

Public officers are encouraged to attend to learn first-hand about the new award programme.
