The 2016-2017 school year is expected to be infused with a new energy, beginning September 5.

The new energy, according to Chief Education Officer Mrs. Connie George will be derived from this school year’s theme, ‘Care for me, teach me, I will learn’.

Mrs. George said, “We wanted this year’s theme to reflect not only the instruction, but also the nurturing side of education. We want both teachers and parents to be involved with students so that we work together to enhance the Territory’s education system.”

The CEO said she is looking forward to the Professional Day and Summer Institute from August 22 to 25, where educators will receive training and learn more about expectations for the new school year.

Mrs. George added, “I am encouraging parents to help us help them and their children. We want to ensure students are most prepared and will be providing parents with tips via social media throughout the year.”

Advent Term begins on September 1.
