Deputy Premier and Minister for Natural Resources and Labour, Dr. the Honourable Kedrick D. Pickering visited the facilities and viewed operations at the Terrence B. Lettsome International Airport on Beef Island on Wednesday, December 30.

Minister Pickering was accompanied by Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Natural Resources and Labour, Mr. Ronald Smith-Berkely and Managing Director of the BVI Airport Authority (BVIAA), Mr. Deniston Frazer.

Minister Pickering noted, “The Ministry communicates with department heads regularly to ensure smooth operations and continued standards. One of the reasons we do this is so that all patrons, local and international, may use facilities that are safe and comfortable.”

This is one of several regularly scheduled visits to departments and bodies within the Ministry’s portfolio.

The statutory body that is the BVIAA, along with all of the Territory's airports, are overseen by the Ministry of Natural Resources and Labour.

The BVI Airport Authority aims to develop and maintain world class airports which provide safe and efficient entries to the Virgin Islands and serve as gateways to the rest of the world.
