Persons who have lodged applications at the Immigration Department can now discuss the status of these requests with officials from the department.

Acting Chief Immigration Officer, Mr. Ian Penn said appointments will be scheduled to provide persons with an opportunity to discuss existing applications and to further clarify the department’s processes and procedures.

Mr. Penn said, “In an effort to improve on the services we currently provide, we have decided to utilise a number of methods to facilitate the process and raise awareness as well.  The department is currently in the process of utilising more innovative ways to educate the public and raise awareness of the Immigration Department’s procedures.”

The public is notified that appointments will be scheduled to discuss the status of applications on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Interested persons are asked to contact the Immigration Department at 468-4705 to schedule an appointment.

The Immigration Department continues to build an Immigration Service that facilitates travel, promotes developmental needs and provides exceptional services to the public which is recognised internationally.
