Minister for Health and Social Development, Honourable Vincent Wheatley is away from the Territory on official leave till September 30 attending the 60th Directing Council of the Pan American Health Organization meeting and the 75th Session of the Regional Committee of the World Health Organization meeting. 

Junior Minister in the area of Agriculture and Fisheries, Honourable Dr. Karl Dawson will perform the functions of Minister for Health and Social Development during Honourable Wheatley’s absence. 

The appointment is in accordance with section 52 (2) of the Virgin Islands Constitution Order, 2007 where the Governor action in accordance with the advice of the Premier shall, by instrument under Public Seal appoint Ministers from among the elected members of the House of Assembly.
