Mother’s Day Message
May 10th 2020
Greetings, and a blessed Mother’s Day to all the mothers of these Beautiful Virgin Islands. I would especially like to recognize my Wife Suzanne, my Mom Shirley, my Mother in Law Patsy and the mothers of the Fifth District.
Through the course of our lives we publicly recognize all mothers on this day, for their daily commitment of love, faith, patients, joy, peace, goodness, humility and virtue; qualities that complement a right spirit.
Proverbs 31 states ‘Strength and dignity are her clothing, and she laughs at the time to come, she opens her mouth with wisdom and the teaching of kindness is on her tongue; she looks well to the ways of her household and does not eat the fruit of idleness.’
This Mother’s Day I am delighted to celebrate with my mother. As some of you may know, she tested positive for the Coronavirus (COVID-19), but she has since retested negative and she is at home recuperating. Thanks to the Almighty God and many thanks for all the prayers, from you the residents of these Virgin Islands.
I take this moment to recognize the Mother’s lost to us as a result of the Coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic. It has been said that Heaven lies at the feet of Mothers so let’s appreciate our mothers, call them, write to them, visit them and spoil them. Today show them that they are treasured in our lives.
Once again I extend a Happy Mother’s Day to all. Thank You
