The Governor’s Office is seeking volunteers to serve on any of the following committees: The Advisory Committee on the Prerogative of Mercy, the Honours Committee and the Visiting Ships Committee.

The Advisory Committee on the Prerogative of Mercy, among other duties, reviews and makes decisions on applications for early release of prisoners.

The Honours Committee considers proposals for the award of the BVI Badge of Honour and honours in the Queen’s Birthday and New Year’s list.

The Visiting Ships Committee assists with coordinating logistical arrangements and social activities for the visits of naval ships.
