The Government of the Virgin Islands has lifted restrictions on entry and travel to make it easier for family members to visit the Territory to ensure the well being of their relatives.

Persons will be allowed to visit the Territory for a short period of four weeks.

Chief Immigration Officer, Mrs. Geraldine Ritter Freeman said, “Whilst, providing some sort of comfort to families is essential, we are also conscious of the limited resources and unfavourable conditions that exists locally, hence monitoring the number of persons that come into the Territory is important for the future recovery and development.”

Persons visiting the Territory are asked to comply with immigration rules and regulations by having a return ticket on hand and departing the Territory by the requisite time given by the Immigration authorities.

Extensions to landing permits will be given sparingly and reviewed on a case by case basis.
