The Environmental Health Division is issuing a notice to food establishments on Virgin Gorda that do not have a backup water supply that they should temporarily close until water service is restored. Food operations cannot proceed without running potable water to ensure proper hand washing, cleaning and sanitation, and the promotion of safe food handling practices.

This notice was issued as a result of an announcement by the Water and Sewerage Department notifying residents on Virgin Gorda of the interruption of the water distribution service due to plant production.
