The Environmental Health Division is informing the public that the fogging previously scheduled for Locality Eight which includes Brewer’s Bay and the surrounding areas on Monday November 21 has been delayed due to rain and is expected to be carried out next week. Fogging on Jost Van Dyke will take place on Wednesday, November 30, in the morning between 5:00 a.m. to 7:00 a.m. Persons with respiratory illnesses, particularly asthmatics, should leave the areas being fogged for at least an hour.

Residents are reminded that fogging provides temporary relief from mosquitoes. Householders and property owners are urged to continue to be vigilant and conduct weekly inspections around their homes and businesses to reduce mosquito breeding sites.   For further information on how to control the Aedes aegypti mosquito, telephone the Vector Control Unit of the Environmental Health Division at 468-5110.
