The team at the Environmental Health Division is featured as they engaged the community in a variety of activities to commemorate Mosquito Awareness Week held from May 7 to 11. Activities included a road show, community presentations, and outreach at health centres, supermarkets and government offices.

Chief Environmental Health Officer, Mr. Lionel Michael said that he was very pleased with the support and interest of the community and gave special mention to Bucks Supermarket on Virgin Gorda whose workers briefly ceased their operation to listen about the impact of mosquitoes on the community and what can be done to reduce their breeding sites.
