The public is invited to participate in a Coastal Clean-Up on Wednesday, June 8 and an Eco-walk on Saturday, June 11 in observance of Environment Week.

The Coastal Clean-up will take place at Little Mountain, Beef Island at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday and the Eco-walk will start at the Beef Island Bridge at 5:00 a.m. on Saturday.

Environment Week 2016 is observed under the theme ‘Join the Race to Make the World a Better Place’ and all persons are encouraged to make everyday changes to support a more sustainable and healthier Virgin Islands.

Interested persons are encouraged to call the Conservation and Fisheries Department at 468-2700 or e-mail cfd@gov.vg for more information. Persons participating in activities are also asked to post a photo to Facebook, tagging #jointherace and #jointheracebvi along with a tag for the Conservation and Fisheries Department @BVICFD.
