Acting Commissioner at the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) Mr. Gregory Skelton has announced that the department’s branch on Virgin Gorda is now opened with full operating hours.

The Virgin Gorda branch has relocated to the first floor of the Walter’s Commercial Center between Dixies and Bath & Turtle. Operating hours are 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.  Inspection closes at 3:00 p.m.

“This new location will provide a more spacious and comfortable environment while we continue to strive to provide efficient and accurate service in vehicle licencing matters for the residents of Virgin Gorda and the Territory of the Virgin Islands,” Mr. Skelton said.        

The acting Commissioner added that the hours of operation on Tortola, at the Headquarters in Pockwood Pond, has been adjusted to reflect the following times:

• 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. - Customer Service
• 9:00 a.m. to 2:45 p.m. - Vehicle Inspection
• 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. - Written Test
