The Conservation and Fisheries Department is now accepting registration forms for the 2015 Environmental Education Summer Programme for students between the ages of 5 and 13. The ongoing theme is, ‘Connect with Nature: Explore the B.V.I.’ The programme will also incorporate the subtheme of Environment Month 2015: “Celebrating 25 Years of Environmental Education through Sustainable Development and Cultural Preservation.”
There will be two separate programme dates on Tortola. Tortola Group A commenced from July 6 to 17 at a registration fee of $75 while Tortola Group B will take place from July 20 to 31 and will also include a fee of $75. The programmes will operate daily between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.
Interested parties should register quickly as the deadline for Group B is July 17. Registration forms can be collected and dropped off at the Conservation and Fisheries Department located on the second floor of the Quastisky Building. Interested persons should telephone the department at 468-2700 for registration forms and additional information.
