Plans are underway for the hosting of the Social Development Department’s fourth annual Clash of the Carollers during the upcoming holiday season.

The clash will take place at the Noel Lloyd Positive Action Movement Park on Sunday, December 6, at 3:00 p.m. under the theme, Culture Across Generations. Carolling is a part of the Virgin Islands’ tradition where groups of people go from house to house singing traditional or contemporary Christmas carols.

Community Development Officer at the Social Development Department, Mrs. Desiree Flanders-Harrigan said that this year’s clash will showcase various styles of carolling and other talents performed by all ages.

Performances will include presentations from the Mount Carmel Baptist Church Carolling Group, Long Trench Sisters, M.A.L.E. Mentoring Group, Junior and Senior Heritage Dancers, Happy Family Band, and a number of pre and primary schools. Persons in the community are invited to attend.
