Youth in the Territory between the ages of 16 and 19 are encouraged to participate in a financial services essay competition under the theme, Building on a Thriving and Sustainable Financial Services Sector in the British Virgin Islands.

Students are required to write on ways to make young people more aware and educated about the financial services industry, the role the industry plays in supporting the standards of living in the British Virgin Islands and the opportunities it offers young people for the future.

The winner will be announced at the launch of the financial services population engagement initiative, scheduled for September 17, 2015. The winner will receive an iPad Air and will become a designated financial services champion as part of the efforts to engage the population.
