The BVI Services, Disability Service Division was gifted with a new electric stove courtesy of Mrs. Natalie Pickering. Mrs. Pickering completed a rotation with the Autism Centre in 2016 and has maintained a keen interest in the work of the Disability Service Division. The division’s head Ms. Lorna Dawson thanked Mrs. Pickering for her generosity and stated that the staff and members are grateful for the gift. The stove will be used for their cooking sessions. BVI Services is a day programme within the Social Development Department that serves adults with a wide range of disabilities. The staff provides assistance in independent living and social skills development through activities including art, music, cooking, and gardening. (Photo credit: Franklyn Skerritt/GIS)
