Interested applicants are invited to apply for the post of Deputy Governor of the British Virgin Islands.
The vacancy notice is posted online on the Government’s website located at www.bvi.gov.vg under the ‘JOBS’ tab. All applications are to be submitted by March 18.
A comprehensive curriculum vitae with full particulars of experience, qualifications and nationality, including evidence of belonger status and a valid passport, and copies of certificates of academic qualifications, must accompany the application.
Three letters of reference with full contact details of referees and a statement detailing the applicant’s qualifications against the criteria for the position must also be provided.
The Deputy Governor reports directly to the Governor and acts for the Governor in his or her absence. The post is at the heart of the leadership of the Territory and the Public Service.
The primary role of the Deputy Governor, in support of the Governor, is to oversee the management and development of the Virgin Islands Public Service and to lead the Public Service to ensure the effective delivery of the Government’s programme. The holder of this post is also expected to maintain the highest standards of service delivery and good governance within the Public Service.
