Residents of the British Virgin Islands are advised that the online registration form for the AstraZeneca COVID-19 Vaccine will be temporarily closed from this evening, February 17. This is to allow for the scheduling of appointments for those that fall into Phase One.
The Government of the Virgin Islands is reminding employers to submit detailed information on persons they employed under the 1000 Jobs in 1000 Days Programme to be eligible for the 10 percent compensation of the total salaries paid.

The public is reminded that Monday, March 1 is the 26th annual celebration to pay homage to the Territory’s first Chief Minister, the late Honourable H. Lavity Stoutt.
Residents in Cane Garden Bay are advised that Department of Disaster Management (DDM) officers will be carrying out maintenance and testing of the early warning siren for that community tomorrow, February 16.
The public is notified that effective February 1, persons who are out of the Territory for six months or more with expired work permits will be required to submit new applications, as their expired permits will no longer be renewable.
The public is advised that drainage works continue on the lower part of Fort Hill (from Qwomar Trading up to the intersection with Bau Bau Gene Hill) and traffic disruptions are expected for the next two weeks.
