Twenty three local women who have made tremendous contributions in the fields of politics, law, medicine, business, community development, education, social work, communications, sports, culture and entertainment were honoured at a ceremony held in their honour on March 5.
The Ministry of Health and Social Development is making it easy for Virgin Gorda residents to join the Fitness Movement Challenge as territory wide participation is needed in the drive towards a healthier Virgin Islands.
The Government of the Virgin Islands through the Ministry of Natural Resources and Labour is forging ahead with legislation to enable holistic environmental management, Climate Change adaptation and mitigation plans.

Jaleel Fernando Cameron an 11-year old student of the St. Georges Primary School will be the first to hoist the Commonwealth Flag when the Territory participates in its inaugural observance for the Fly-a-Flag for the Commonwealth initiative.

The Territory’s first Chief Minister, the late Honourable H. Lavity Stoutt, was credited as being an exceptional leader and architect of some of the Territory’s most significant projects, at celebrations to mark the 20th year since his passing.
