The Taxi and Livery Commission is issuing a reminder to all Public Transport Operators    in the Virgin Islands that unauthorised design and construction of vehicles intended for operation under a taxi permit is strictly prohibited. 

Persons wishing to travel by public transportation (taxi/bus) to various communities on the eastern and western ends of the Virgin Islands are asked to use the Market Square bus stop.

The Taxi and Livery Commission held its first in a series of industry meetings on the proposed tariffs for the Virgin Islands on Virgin Gorda on Monday, June 3.

Minister for Communications and Works, Honourable Kye M. Rymer has announced that the proposed tariff for taxi and livery services in the Territory is now available for review by the public.

Minister for Communications and Works Honourable Kye M. Rymer, Director of the Taxi & Livery Commission Mr. Jevaughn Parsons, Security Manager of the BVI Ports Authority Mr. Dave Smith and Transportation Officer Mr. Calvin Smith of the BVI Tourist Board met with taxi and livery operators to discuss plans and protocols for the upcoming cruise season.

Deputy Premier and Minister for Communications and Works, Honourable Kye M. Rymer, has approved new rates for the Transportation Industry within the Virgin Islands in an effort of aligning fares with the current cost of living and the cost of operating the service.

Deputy Premier and Minister for Communications and Works, Honourable Kye M. Rymer said the recent meeting with the Transportation-For-Hire Industry is part of the process in support of the highest standards of service to visitors and the travelling public.
