The public is encouraged to keep the beaches and coastlines of the Virgin Islands clean by supporting the 2016 International Coastal Clean-Up activities, sponsored this year by the Conservation and Fisheries Department and the British Virgin Islands Tourist Board.

The public is reminded that in accordance with the National Parks Trust Act of 2006, it is illegal to remove plants from national parks, including the Queen Elizabeth II Park.
One hundred and twelve employees from the Little Dix Bay Resort have received employment following the closure of the facility for renovations on May 1.

The Cabinet of the Government of the Virgin Islands has approved the re-appointment of two members and the appointment of one member to serve on the Social Security Board Appeals Tribunal.
For the first time since the enactment of the Trade Marks Act 2013 and the Trade Marks Rules 2015, BVI Finance and the Virgin Islands Association of Registered Trade Mark Agents (ARTMA) attended the International Trademark Association’s (INTA) annual meeting.
BVI Finance, in collaboration with TEAM BVI Latin America, hosted a series of events in Latin America to promote the BVI as the premier offshore financial services jurisdiction and mark the return of the BVI Road Show.
The BVI has highlighted the positive role of financial services and deepened its international cooperation with Latin America and the Caribbean at the 36th Session of the United Nations Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (UN ECLAC).
