I am Myron V. Walwyn, Minister for Education, Culture, Youth Affairs and Sports and it is indeed my pleasure to bring to you today my tenth update on the works of the Ministry of Education since the passage of hurricanes Irma and Maria.

Parents and guardians of all students attending the Elmore Stoutt High School are notified of a general PTA meeting on Thursday, November 30.

Member of the Ministry of Education and Culture’s Adopt-A-School Programme, and British Virgin Islands based law firm Harneys hosted a Volunteer Day of Care for staff, volunteers from the community, parents and students of the Francis Lettsome Primary School.

Minister for Education and Culture Honourable Myron Walwyn has said the Territory needs everyone to do their part to help in the rebuilding process and has called on residents to assist in the exercise.

Good day Virgin Islanders and residents. Based on consultation with Cabinet, the state of emergency has been relaxed with the exception of the curfew which remains in effect from 8:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. daily.

School administrators throughout the Territory are being urged to secure equipment and all materials at schools in anticipation of Hurricane Irma.

The public is notified of the new dates for the opening of all public primary and secondary schools in the Territory. Dates are as follows:
