New and renewing food handlers are notified of the July schedule of sessions that will take place on the following dates:

The Environmental Health Division is holding an additional Food Handler’s Session on Thursday, June 13 in preparation of the upcoming Buju Banton Show.

Food vendors participating in the Buju Banton Weekend festivities are being urged to attend a Food Handlers Session on Thursday, June 13 on Tortola at the Ward’s Building at 9:00 a.m.

The public is notified of the new and renewing food handlers’ clinic schedule to be held in June

Members of the humanitarian and disaster relief crew of RFA Mounts Bay and the RN helicopter will be paying a brief flying visit to the Virgin Islands today, Monday May 27.

The BVI is expected to benefit from a Memorandum of Understanding signed by the Caribbean Public Health Agency (CARPHA) and the Caribbean Association of Industry and Commerce (CAIC). 

Mr. Speaker, 2019 is proving to be challenging as there has been an upsurge in the number of reported cases of Measles worldwide, notably in South America, the Philippines, the european Union and the United States of America. As of May 14^th 2019, the Centre of Disease Control has reported 839 confirmed cases of measles across 23 states and this number is growing exponentially. 

Minister for Health and Social Development, Honourable Carvin Malone has disclosed that the Territory has 90 to 95 percentage coverage for recommended childhood vaccines.

Saturday April 20^th marks the beginning of vaccination week. The Ministry of Health and Social Development together with the BVI Health Services Authority joins the Americas and other Caribbean countries and territories in celebration of the 17^th anniversary of vaccination week in the Americas!
