The British Virgin Islands Ports Authority (BVIPA) would like to inform the public that in observance of The State Funeral of Her Majesty The Queen offices and warehouses on Tortola and Virgin Gorda will be closed to the public on Monday, 19 September 2022.
A Commemoration Service will take place at St George’s Episcopal Church on Friday September 16, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. to mark the death of Her Late Majesty The Queen.

Good Morning, As people in the BVI are already aware, the Commission of Inquiry Report which was published on 29 April identified significant failures of governance, including evidence of corruption, abuse of office, and serious impropriety in public office. To address these failures it is clear that fundamental changes are required.

Officers from the Royal Virgin Islands Police, Her Majesty’s Prison, and BVI Fire and Rescue Services received awards for long service and good conduct at a private ceremony today at Government House.

The United Kingdom Foreign and Commonwealth Office will provide specialised training and equipment to the Virgin Islands Territorial Search and Rescue Team (TSART) through a Memorandum of Understanding signed yesterday at Government House.
Mr. Peter Haycraft and Mr. Stacy Roger Mather made the Queen Elizabeth II 2020 Diplomatic Service and Overseas List for their service and contribution towards the development of the Virgin Islands.
