The Cabinet of the Virgin Islands has sanctioned the appointment of one new member and re-appointment of four members of the Allied Health Professionals Council established under the Medical Act, 2000.

The Pan American Health Organisation (PAHO) is providing additional support to the recovery of the Territory’s Health Sector through funding from a number of donors.

Persons entering the British Virgin Islands for the sole purpose of work and/or to reside, are reminded of the options for submitting medical certificates. Medical certificates from their place of origin can be presented at the port of entry, to be certified by a local practitioner; or medical examinations can be completed locally by a medical practitioner of choice or by the Immigration Clinic.

Software installation begins this week for the BVI’s new 911 Call Centre.

All Nurses, Midwives and Nursing Assistants working in the Territory, are notified that registration for the year 2018 has begun.
