On behalf of the Government of the Virgin Islands, I welcome you here today, as we launch this Hydrology Study, to assess the Territory’s vulnerability to the risks associated with flooding.

Deputy Premier and Minister for Natural Resources and Labour, Dr. the Honourable Kedrick Pickering is away from the Territory, April 25 through 28, attending the UK Overseas Territories Ministers of the Environment Meeting in Alderney.

The British Virgin Islands (BVI) welcomes the opportunity to make an intervention at this plenary.

The BVI’s progress on climate change and financial services were presented at the 15th OCT-EU Forum and OCTA Ministerial Conference in Aruba last week.
