Public Officers of the Virgin Islands, Many of you would be making final preparations within your departments and agencies to participate in the Caribe Wave exercise on March 19. In light of the ongoing COVID-19 Coronavirus outbreak around the world, we have decided that the exercise will no longer include an evacuation component.

Deputy Chief Planner currently on rotation in the Deputy Governor’s Office Mr. Dylan Penn and Director of Culture, Dr. Katherine Smith have participated in a workshop to better understand the importance of the impact of climate change on the cultural sector.
Officers from the Department of Disaster Management (DDM) joined their counterparts around the Caribbean for Region Rap 2020, an annual telecommunications exercise.
With seismic activity continuing in the region, the Department of Disaster Management (DDM) is encouraging the public to prepare early to participate in the annual Caribe Wave regional tsunami exercise on March 19.

The United Kingdom Foreign and Commonwealth Office will provide specialised training and equipment to the Virgin Islands Territorial Search and Rescue Team (TSART) through a Memorandum of Understanding signed yesterday at Government House.
Minister for Transportation, Works and Utilities, Honourable Kye Rymer is currently representing the Territory at the 4th Caribbean Infrastructure Forum (CARIF 2020) being held in Jamaica on January 21 and 22.
