This week the Territory is celebrating Virgin Islands Culture under the theme, “Revitalising Virgin Islands Culture as we Celebrate 25 Years”. 

People of the Virgin Islands, I greet you on this our 25th anniversary of Culture Week here in the Virgin Islands. The very fitting theme is “Revitalizing Virgin Islands Culture.” I have a few crucial things to convey to you.

The revitalization of the Virgin Islands’ culture will be in focus when the Territory observes 25 years of Culture Week from November 10.

Minister for Education, Culture, Youth Affairs, Fisheries and Agriculture, Dr. the Honourable Natalio D. Wheatley said the Virgin Islands have a special history and culture that must be told to the world.

The public is invited to a community meeting at the Village Cafe on Virgin Gorda on Wednesday, November 6 at 6:00 p.m. 

The following are special weeks, events and days for the Ministry of Education Culture, Youth Affairs, Fisheries and Agriculture for the month of November.

Various aspects of the Territory’s culture will be on display when the Association for the Promotion of Arts and Culture hosts a Festival of the Arts on November 2.

Cultural and familial ties were at the centre of the 46^th annual USVI-BVI Friendship Day on October 18 on the island of St Thomas, United States Virgin Islands.
