The Virgin Islands has experienced a noticeable increase in entrepreneurial activity during the past several months of the COVID-19 Global Pandemic, and can look forward to this trend continuing in 2022.

Premier and Minister of Finance, Honourable Andrew A. Fahie said that 32.73 percent of the development budget has been allocated to the Ministry of Transportation, Works and Utilities as Government focusses on major construction projects to stimulate economic activity and create jobs during this COVID-19 period.

It is important that I begin this Budget Address from the words of Abba, our Father as found in Luke 12:8, “And I tell you, everyone who acknowledges me before men, the Son of Man also will acknowledge before the angels of God.”
Premier and Minister of Finance, Honourable Andrew A. Fahie will deliver the Territory’s 2022 Budget under the theme: “Strategically positioning New Industries with Sustainability and Innovation: Continuing to improve the standard of living with focus on Education, Small Business, Healthcare and Technology”.
Premier and Minister of Finance, Honourable Andrew A. Fahie delivered the Territory’s 2021 Budget Address during the Second Sitting of the First Session of the Fourth House of Assembly today November 12.
Mr. Speaker, a pleasant good day and GOD’s blessings be upon you, all Honourable Members of this Honourable House and all the people of these beautiful Virgin Islands — those here in the Gallery, those listening via the radio and to those viewing online – both at home and abroad, as we continue to move forward in this New Regular living and working with COVID-19.
Premier and Minister of Finance, Honourable Andrew A. Fahie will deliver the Territory’s 2021 Budget under the theme: INNOVATION: Building a stable, diverse, competitive economy with strong industries and partnerships for regional and international trade, by building and harnessing the creative capacity of our human capital.
The Government of the Virgin will be introducing Bills to support the comprehensive digital transformation of the Public Service and improve e-payments for customers.
