Mr. Speaker, a pleasant good day and GOD’s blessings be upon you, all Honourable Members of this Honourable House and all the people of these beautiful Virgin Islands — those here in the Gallery, those listening via the radio and to those viewing online – both at home and abroad, as we continue to move forward in this New Regular living and working with COVID-19.
While we understand the inherent news value of the case stemming from last week’s seizure of firearms and illicit drugs, we would urge all commenters, pundits and journalists to exercise good judgment in their coverage and discussions of the case.

The Government and people of the Virgin Islands extend heartfelt congratulations to United States' President-Elect Joe Biden and Vice President-Elect Kamala Harris on their successful election to office.
As Minister for Labour, I took before the House of Assembly the Labour Code (Amendment) Act, 2020, on the 11th June, 2020 which extended the lay-off period from three months in total to a period not to exceed 31st October, 2020.
I acknowledge the protocol which has already been established, and I again welcome you to the beginning of our very first Culture and Tourism Month. I will take this opportunity to give some context for the fusion of culture and tourism in the month of November and clearly articulate a very clear vision for culture during my tenure as Culture Minister.
