The National Security Council (NSC) invited the Minister for Education, Youth Affairs and Sports Honourable Sharie de Castro and her team to its meeting on Wednesday, February 5, 2025, and received an update on the Minister’s recent visit to the United Kingdom, in particular discussions she held with authorities at the London Violence Reduction Unit and UK’s Department for Education on ways to address crime and violence among young people, and students in our Territory’s secondary schools.

It is an exciting day in this Territory. We are not just signing contracts; we are fuelling a movement.

His Excellency, the Governor Mr. Daniel Pruce, chaired the special meeting held on 29th October, 2024 at the Premier's Conference Room.

On this World Cancer Day, we must come together as a community with one voice, standing united in the fight against cancer.  

The Ministry of Education is deeply concerned about recent reports of illegal substances, including alcohol, marijuana-infused foods, and sexual enhancement drugs, in our secondary schools.

As we are still in January, it is only fitting to extend heartfelt New Year’s wishes to the people of the Virgin Islanders. May this year bring us prosperity, unity, and continued progress.
