Madam Speaker, I am delighted to inform you that the H. Lavity Stoutt Community College (HLSCC) has had its accreditation reaffirmed by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education (MSCHE).

Madam Speaker, it is my pleasure to provide this Honourable House with an update on the Whale Stranding event within our waters during the first week of July 2022

The 9th Meeting of the Council of Ministers, Environment Sustainability (COMES) was held in St Vincent and the Grenadines from 31st May to 2nd June 2022 at the Beach Combers Hotel Conference Rooms. Unfortunately, as it was my first month as Minister of Natural Resources & Labour I could not attend in person but had the opportunity to attend virtually and was honored to be present for my first meeting of this extent since receiving this ministerial portfolio.

Madam Speaker, I thank you for the opportunity to update this Honourable House and the territory on the 2022 Primary Exit and Secondary School-Leaving results and graduations ceremonies.

Madam Speaker, I will now give a summary of the Bill entitled the BVI Business Companies (Amendment) Act, 2022, hereinafter referred to as the “Bill”.

I wish to present a brief statement to this Honourable House on the work of the BVI Tourist Board (BVITB).

As persons may recall, on 8^th June, 2022, in a public statement, the Governor advised that the United Kingdom Government accepted the Government of National Unity’s final proposal, the Framework for Implementation of the Recommendations of the Commission of Inquiry (COI) Report and other Reforms.

Madam Speaker, I rise to give this Honourable House an update on a few projects currently being undertaken by my Ministry, Communications and Works. 

It gives me great pleasure this morning to be here today in this Cane Garden Bay community for the official commissioning of the new State-Of-The-Art Waste Water Treatment Plant.
