Fellow BVIslanders, patriots, residents, and well-wishers; good day and God’s Blessings.
On behalf of my government, I want to thank all the people of the British Virgin Islands for this awesome honour to lead our recovery and development at this stage in history.
After some 20 years as an elected representative, it will soon be time for me to consider myself an old man. All of us are the products of our past experiences, and inside of us reside the wisdom and the guidance of our elders who moulded and shaped us to create and support a generation that, like those before, would excel and achieve more than the one before.
His Excellency the Governor Augustus J. U. Jaspert chaired the Cabinet Meetings held on 15th and 23rd May, 2019 at the Premier’s Conference Room, Central Administration Building.
Thank you, Mr. Speaker for giving me the opportunity to address this Honourable House as well as the people of the Virgin Islands to briefly speak about the reopening of the V.I. Scholarship Programme.
Fellow British Virgin Islanders, I wish to take this opportunity to thank all members of the public who took the time to dialogue and feedback with the government in the consultations on the very important issue of Immigration and Labour reform.
